Have anyone of you seen a documentary called "I am my own twin" and it talks abt two women, one from the U.S. and the other from London, I believe, they each were told that they couldn't have possibly given birth to their children because THEIR DNA DID NOT MATCH????. I seen this documentary three times and it is scary!!! The woman from the U.S. was told by the authorities if she had kidnapped her kids, if she had "borrowed" them and claimed they were hers. Her husband even stood by her saying those were their kids. It is a very convuluted thing to get into but it brought up the subject of DNA and how many people are in jail as we speak and submitting DNA that may show them to be "DNA innocent" when in fact they are guilty. Or how many remains of people have been found and when DNA was conducted to see if the remains were those of a particular person, it didn't match the family members. This thing is called "Chimerism". Check it out if you have a chance.

Well after watching this on Crystral's latest I am relieved that Lius Diaz is no longer in prison. Man I feel sorry for this guy, seeing him on camera saying how he lost basically his whole life. I personally hope this guy can have a good life now
Actually makes me angry those girls basically said "well I'm not sure this is the man but I'll say it is". **** me

Yes I had thought of starting a thread about the Bird Road Rapist case since it is now being circulated. I too feel so sorry for him and am glad he is no longer in prison. I got the impression his wife may have left him over this (he said "I've lost my wife" and then later when he mentions having daughters and sisters he loves but doesn't mention a wife) but I'm not sure. His interview was particularly heartwrenching. I can't believe they would convict him considering all the different descriptions the various women gave.
A few side comments. Does anyone else recognize the PI interviewed in the case? She was on another UM case as well. Another little tidbit I noticed was one of the victim's (the one that seem to no longer think Diaz was the rapist) also played the mother that abducted Billy Pelletiere. She had seem confused after having a bout of encephalitis. |

I sure to hell hope that Luis Diaz got enough money to set himself up for the rest of his life from the government of Florida, but he probably didn't, since the laws don't really allow for that. If I were him, I'd definitely sue at least the Dade County police department, since their detectives evidently falsified a good deal of evidence in an attempt to get a conviction.
Luis Diaz should be treated to a life of luxury at the expense of the state for as long as he lives. |
