I know. I was just using that show as an example of relatively new shows being on TV Land. If that would end up on there by the end of the decade, the channel would no longer be "classic" and I might as well just give up.

It just left the airwaves. Classic in terms of age here.

Um, yeah, it does.

I imagine in ten years TV Land will have shows like Friends, Seinfeld or Frasier. I mean, they started airing Cheers nine years after it ended (another show that, while deserving of popularity, does not need to be on a channel of classic television).

no! cheers is a classic and belongs in a classic television station. nick-at-nite or tv land are just the perfect stations for that show and other shows like friends, seinfeld, will & grace, cosby show, golden girls, the nanny, home improvement, wonder years, and many, many others!

Classic is QUALITY!

When most people refer to "Classic" TV, they mean shows that were on in the 50-70s, or maybe 80s. Went off the air in 2004 is a little too new. I mean, the new 2005 Mustang may end up being a classic among cars, means people hold it up to high standards because of it's quality, but that doesn't mean it's a "Classic" car. Same goes with TV shows. It has 2 definitions.

I love Wings, but it ended in 97. Not really TV Land material I don't think.

i'm confused then or maybe you???. i thought classic was quality. and by your definition you say classics are shows of 50's through 70's. "80's maybe" doesn't cut it. so apparently you don't know the definition of classic either because 80's and 90's shows are airing on that 24-hour station that supposedly airs your "defined" classics.
