Thumbs up A thank you to TJ...

Okay, this may be an example of beating a dead horse. TJ, if you choose to close this thread or delete it I understand. Enough is enough, and I may only be adding fuel to the fire. If so, then I apologize. But I simply felt that this needs to be said...

Folks, this is Todd's message board. He has final say. This is not a democracy, it is a personal website. He has graciously created and maintained this site for OUR enjoyment. He does not have to do this. He gets no paycheck for doing this.

Have any of you ever run a message board? Have you any inkling of an idea just how difficult and time consuming it is to run a message board? Even if money was not a concern (which is very definitely IS), the amount of time and effort that is expended is huge. I admin a very small ezboard. It takes A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT, and that message board could probably compete in size with the smallest forum here on SO. Its size is miniscule; its membership is around 40 people, with only around 5 who post regularly. Still, it eats up a lot of my time and energy. I can only barely realize just how much work it is for TJ here on this very large group of message boards.

Cut the guy some slack. sheesh!

Thank you Todd, for your wonderful message boards.

I run a small message board myself, and I also help admin my friend's board, so yes, I know what it's like to run message boards. I also want to thank TJ for these boards...because I know he is sacraficing a lot of himself (and his money) to keep this place operational. He could easily just close this place and save his money, but he doesn't. And for that I think he deserves to be thanked.

Not to mention his personal time spent mediating trouble, changing user names, etc., etc., etc...

Absolutely. Just moderating the Current Events board alone is enough to make anyone want to pull all their hair out!

TJ, this is your appreciation thread. Thanks for creating this little community.

TJ, thanks for all the time and money you put into running this site. I know that if the boards didn't exist I would be one bored, sad, person, this is where I spend most of my time online.
