Anyone enjoyed SCTV when it was on (both first run and re-runs)? For those who don't know what SCTV is it was a really funny show back in the 70's and 80's and starred actors like Martin Short, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas, John Candy, Catherine O'Hara, and others. Some of the characters featured on this show were Count Floyd, the 5 Neat Guys, Ed Grimley, and my all-time favorite...THE MCKENZIE BROTHERS!! I watched it all the time back when it was on Nick at Nite in the late 80's and was thrilled to see it was on late nights on NBC a couple years ago, but it got taken off -for that stupid Carson Daly and his crap show. Too bad I was too stupid to tape some episodes. The only thing I didn't like about it's late night stint on NBC was that they cut out the opening credits
I heard that they're trying to get the show on DVD and oh man I'll be a happy camper when or if it does. |
