Is Social Studies the spin off of The Facts of Life? I know it was on for a very short time, but what exactly was it? I hear the theme song A LOT around my school, but I can't figure out why they sing it. I personally like the theme, but anyway. What was Social Studies, and why was is called "Social Studies" if it was a spin off from FOL?

That ought to make you feel like crying. Hhhoooo! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Julia and Carlene are talking about a poll on the Flinstones sexuality that was in the newspaper... ALLISON: I can't believe you two are talking about cartoon character's sexuality. They're two dementinal. CARLENE: Well gee, Allison. So are you. |

Well, it was on WB for 6 episodes on 1997. It starred Julia Duffy, and was a continuation of the last episodes of FOL, except the characters are different. Julia was a Social Studies teacher.

Same plot but not a spinoff of the Facts of Life.

Social Studies aired in 1997 on UPN, not The WB and was a VERY funny sitcom, however it only lasted 1 season. I loved it. Lisa Whitholt, who was Danielle on My So-Called Life was in it as one of the students... GREAT SHOW wish they'd play the reruns.. It had NOTHING to do w/ Facts Of Life.
