Post The Growing Up Brady book is full of mistakes!!!

To give just one example the book claims Carol's old football player boyfriend ,Tank, is from her college days.Wrong! !!! Tank was only her boyfriend while she was in high school.

Big deal! I thought the book Growing up Brady
was about their real life struggles. In fact, I read it when it first came out and was shocked! Although I don't know why.
Barry and Maureen(Greg & Marcia)were said to
be real lovers! In real life,it doesn't bother me anymore, but what got them together and what broke them up? So they were playing brother and sister. I bet they also played doctor and patient! Barry liked the wetness so they kept playing!

Desi, if the book makes so many mistakes (and it does) how do you know you can trust anything it says about anything (including the part about Barry and Maureen's off camera relationship)?

It wasn't just Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick. Susan Olsen and Mike Lookinland had a relationship, and even got married (after the run of the show, obviously)

------------------
"Well, Laverne is sort of childish"

"Childish? Childish? COming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!"

"Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!"

"Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!"

This posting is about the many mistakes found in the Growing Up Brady book. To Desilu and especially Laverne + Shirley. And to everyoneelse here, as the person who started this posting I am going to very nicely ask anyone who wants to post here in the future to keep your comments solely about the book's mistakes and how untrustworthy they make the book in almost everyway. Now another mistake the book makes is the way it claims actor Eric Shea provided the voice of Linus in the Peanuts cartoons. Wrong!!!! Christopher Shea voiced Linus not Eric Shea. This very well might be the most serious and tragic era of the entire book giving credit where none is due!

PS Eric Shea played in the episode about Cindy's secret admirer.

Another messed up mistake is in the original 1992 version of Growing Up Brady. The book wrongy claims that in the reunion where Marcia and Jan get married it says Peter was in the army. WRONG! WRONG! PETER WAS IN THE AIR FORCE!!!!

Also. the word foreword is misspelled as "forward" on the cover of the 99 Growing Up Brady edition.

No they didn't get married at the end of the series. When thet were kids, they had a mock wedding given by Maureen and Eve.

The GUB book still contains mistakes, lots of them.Like crediting Eric Shea with Chris Shea's work (the most serious mistake by far).

Exclamation

And on page 255 of _GUB_ it says that in the episode description for Episode #89, "Greg Gets Grounded," that Greg was watching girls on the sidewalk and nearly wrecked the station wagon. I thought he decided to drive on the expressway and made a dangerous maneuver to get really close to an accident. (At least that's what I thought Bobby said.)

James I honestly says thanks for your contribution. I thought what you said about the expressway was what Bobby said to Mike too. This Growing Up Brady book versions old and new is just crammed to the gram with mistakes. Overrated trash is what both versions of it are.

Another mistake the book makes is the way it misquotes Mike and Greg in the episode about the goat. Did a cast member of the original Brady Bunch really write this mish mosh of a book? Hard to believe it but yes.
