Game Show Network gives classic viewers an encore treat which continues Wednesday.
Tuesday morning, GSN aired the first half-hour of the two-day saga of Michael Larson's $110,237 victory on Press Your Luck in 1984. Part two, in which Larson finally stops as the all-time high daytime winner on a CBS game show and triggers an internal network investigation, airs Wednesday (11:30 a.m., EDT). Larson was eventually cleared of wrongdoing after the probe determined he had studied patterns of the Whammy board and timed his stops based on the electronic movements. The story became the subject of Big Bucks: the Press Your Luck Scandal, a documentary in April which became the highest-rated show in the history of Game Show Network. |
