Anyone Remember One Of The Boys??? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anyone remember a very short lived show from 1982 called, "One Of The Boys" which starred Mickey Rooney. The signifinance of it is that Dana Carvey and Nathan Lane also starred in it as well. The show was set in a college and Mickey Rooney's character went back to college along with Dana Carvey,who played his grandson. Also of notice, Meg Ryan played Dana Carvey's girlfriend on that show as well. This show aired on NBC Saturday nights in 1982 and only lasted a few months. This show would make a perfect deal for TV Land to have in its Kirschen lineup.

"One of the Boys" was ranked as one of the worst tv shows of all time by TV Guide last year. It could be on TV Land...because "The Flying Nun" is on TV Land and it was also ranked amongst the worst shows. (It was an awful show) But I'll give "One Of The Boys" a chance because Dana Carvey is one of the funniest comic/actors of the last 20 years. Not to mention I wasn't born yet during it's run and would like to see it myself when I read it on TV Guide's 50 worst list. I tend to give shows a "chance" before I give bad judgement. Like "The Flying Nun".

Sounds like a good show though. Especially with Meg Ryan, Nathan Lane, and Dana Carvey.

It would be great if it was in the "Kitschen" line up.
