The unsolved murder of Megan Curl

I think Megan's case has remained unsolved for so long because there are two, possibly three men who were suspects or persons of interest that have never come forward. Obviously the killer wouldn't come forward, but the description of the man from the Electric Cowboy buying drinks for Megan was different than the one of the man seen in Megan's apartment. The man from the Electric Cowboy has never come forward. The bouncer from the second club who gave Megan a ride home has never publicly said anything about the case. Megan's ex-boyfriend died a few years after Megan's murder. Some members of law enforcement think he was responsible, but he's dead so they can't prosecute if he was the one who killed her. It's sad all around.

I had forgotten the tidbit about Megan having a restraining order out against Tim Purvis, which makes it very unlikely that she would've went down to him, sat in his car and chatted with him, and then invited him in to her apartment. I also find it unlikely that if Purvis pulled into the lot that night while Megan was talking to her neighbor that she wouldn't have said, "oh that's my friend from the bar" in a semi-excited/recognition way if it was Purvis who was sitting in the car.

I had her pegged as "one of us" just like I did within minutes of watching Gordon Page Jr. I suspect that she was duped by someone pretending to do some "adult" activity, was willing to be tied up, and once she was completely defenseless, they attacked. Why? Probably the same reason the school bully did the things he did to me: for pure sadistic pleasure. Either way what a disgusting human being to do such a thing.

Disgusting is right. Whether it was the man from the club in the sketch (one of the most disturbing shown on UM, and that's saying something) or Tim Purvis or someone else, what a vile human being.
