Am I dreaming or is Press Your Luck turning weird? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This morning as I watched this week's Press Your Luck episode on Disney+ I seemed to notice that Press Your Luck is starting to turn weird this season and I think this is a new image for the show. Take for instance I noticed a lot of weird prizes on the board and they do not make sense at all. For example the prizes consist of mainly food like Olive Garden breadsticks for a year to Wendy's Frosties for a year too and even weirder prizes like animal statues and even Press Your Luck souvenirs. Even in the final round the personal prizes are weird as well. This week the contestant named Michael had a personal prize of a year's supply of Bush's Baked Beans and I thought that was a weird prize. And it seems that on this season Elizabeth Banks wants to make Press Your Luck her own palace and seems to be the queen of the show because Elizabeth has her very own prize square called Big Banks which contestants can win some of Elizabeth Banks's favorite things and vacations and to me this was an odd thing for Press Your Luck to do this season and all I can say is that Press Your Luck will jump the shark due to this new image

I think Press Your Luck is starting to change it's image beginning with this season I think what they are planning to do is attract more viewers to the show but as I mentioned I think they have come up with weird prizes like this week the contestant named Michelle had the chance to win tickets to The Tony Awards and then on the board they had a personal billboard and I thought "Where does Press Your Luck come up with these weird and odd prizes in the first place?" What I think the whole reason is for the new image of Press Your Luck is Elizabeth Banks and she wants to run Press Your Luck herself especially since she is the host and I think she has a team that helps her choose what prizes the contestants can win. But I don't recall Todd Newton's Whammy or the original Peter Tomarken version of Press Your Luck having weird prizes. But they should come up with future ideas and a million dollar champion for next season
