Default Still Photo of Deleted Scene from "Happy Birthday, Pop" - Indira Danks!!

We will probably never see this deleted scene, but at least we know it actually happened according to this article in a 1972 Ebony Magazine:

What deleted scene are you referring to? The scene with the cops?

There’s a scene at about 10:35 seconds in to the episode when Fred and Lamont walk up stairs. Then it fades out and shows Fred and Lamont walking up to the bar and sitting down. There was a scene after they walk upstairs and before they sit at the bar.

The hat check girl tries to get Fred’s hat but he doesn’t want to entrust her with it. That scene with Indira Danks (the original voice of Daphne in Scooby Doo) the hat check girl is removed. She doesn’t appear in the episode. Though she is listed in the credits.

I think the scene aired somewhere. Can’t recall exactly. I researched this in the early 2000’s when the DVD came out.

If you watch the DVD right when the picture fades back in when they are about to sit down at the bar you can see Lamont smirking from the previous scene and you can barely see the hat check girl walking out of the shot in the background.

Can the still image and article in the original post be re-uploaded? The link is dead.

I was trying to research it. There's some debate whether the scene aired in the original broadcast, when it was removed, or if it has been shown anywhere. It could have been filmed but deleted before or around the original NBC broadcast as part of the final edit.

There's a mention of the scene missing on the DVD.

I asked ChatGPT about it. It has some interesting theories. There could have been two network masters.

It doesn't 100% mean the scene was in the original broadcast. It could have been cut before it aired.

The photo only proves it was filmed.
