Yeah. I wonder what would have happened if Julie chose Fred?! If it were nowadays, like the crazy movies I watch on Lifetime TV and drama/ thriller books I read. If a woman was momentarily attracted to her fiance's best friend/ the best man, but than came to her senses like " What was I thinking"?! And married her groom. The best friend / best man would be a psycho , stalker and it would end up in a murderous rage!

That would be a little too much for 1979 TV , even for a progressive Norman Lear show!
