A problem with the theory that she got out of the car and got into another with a murderer is... well although nothing is impossible, what percentage of the population is a murderer? tammy just happens to thumb down a killer? it's too snug, too easy as a theory.

why would she like you've asked, choose that moment to run away? no money, no clothes, no nothing... right? why get out of the car like that and then think "i know, lets run away!"

makes no sense.

the party she went to is key, she goes to some hollywood 80s party full of drugs and whatever and comes back a different person, a paranoid person.

she thought her mothers food was poisoned, she thought a van was outside spying on her, she had a freakout on the set.... she smashed a window at home.....

this girl wasn't well mentally, she was a pretty blonde who could have gone to some taxi driver and said "look i'm stuck, ill pay the full fare when i get home" or whatever.. she could have called someone, but she didn't pick the sane normal option...

the most likely theory? she gets out of the car and finds herself alone, she panics, maybe has some episode, thinks someone or something is out to get her like she thought the van was spying on her and this leads her to make a chain of decisions that ended in who knows what...

maybe she ended up in a body of water that very day, maybe she had a complete breakdown mentally, forgot who she was and is still out there begging...

but this girl wasnt ok mentally and it of course affected what happened, she didn't just go running away to focus on films, or happen to thumb down the 0.00000000001% of the population that has homicidal tendencies...

Not exactly sure, but I assume she would have been the girl chatting up the guy in the convertible during the chainsaw scene, or just a background extra at the end of the scene with the shootout in the street.

like i said, nothing is impossibile..but what are the odds of a paranoid girl who thinks theres a van outside of her home spying on her, that her own mothers food is poisoned, some wierd stuff about money laudering... gets out of a car, thumbs a ride and the guy just happens to be a killer?

again it's not 100% impossibile, but it's too snug, it's too confortable as a theory and a means of making something fit.

"a girl who is insanely paranoid isn't paranoid enough to not get into a strangers car and the stranger just happens to be a killer.." you see what i mean?

we can't just ignore the obvious mental problems she was having, one way or another they played at part.
