Were there any edits or music changes on the DVD releases? The back cover on the Blu-ray box doesn't mention anything.

When Balki Bartokomous (Bronson Pinchot) arrives in America from the Mediterranean island of Mypos, he shows up unannounced on the Chicago doorstep of distant cousin Larry Appleton (Mark Linn-Baker), forcing two strangers into an unlikely room situation. Balki, an earnest shepherd with boundless optimism and a love for American culture, clashes with Larry, an uptight aspiring photographer. Despite their differences, the pair gradually grow from fifth cousins three times removed into best friends. Perfect Strangers was created by Dale McRaven.

It’s crazy how no one is excited about this or even commented on it. Just shows how the decline of physical media has taken over as more people care about streaming now. ��

I'd argue that this and similar releases just aren't getting much hype and press like we'd get, say, 10 years ago? The only way one can find out about stuff like this is to frequent these and other forums for news and info. Press runs for sets tend to run shorter and are available for less time these days, as well. It's like hit-and-run marketing, I guess?

I, for one, despite having the dvd sets have pre-ordered and and will do The Dance of Joy and, perhaps, even the Bengie-Bengie when the set shows up!

I don't recall any music issues while blasting thru the series last year.. But, I'll say that's the first time I've seen the show since it wrapped in, when, 1993? No reruns that I saw and, while I did tape the show religiously, I'd watch about 4 weeks' worth several times over then erase and repeat. So, nothing was saved. I doubt I would have noticed a song change or even if a character recited lyrics and the scene got chopped.

I do know there's one episode (but don't remember which one) that is missing the opening titles. But all the others are there and, I think, season-specific as expected.

I do recall missing the show when it left first-run, initially. It just sorta disappeared. Then, I was sooo excited when it came back for a half-size, Summer season to finish the run!

It's fun and goofy comfort-food entertainment, heavy on dialect humor, puns and physical comedy a-la Laurel & Hardy plus others. Lil' Pop Culture, period-specific jokes, too.
