stevea likes to keep the main section organized with current topics. I guess he thought it was time sensitive.

I told him I was fine with the birthday threads being moved to Classic after a week or so. I'm not crazy about the more recently started threads being moved there so quickly.

Also, once in a great while, there are subjects that are so ridiculous, that I'll move them pretty quickly. Such as a resurrected thread from 2007 about blowing bubbles. I know, I know, it has potential.

Birthday threads should not be banished to Classic after just a week. Some of our members only make it here a few times a month. Leave them two-three weeks. I had thought Classic was created more for the inevitable Dude bumps from 2 decades ago. Something created recently is not classic!

I did not start the moving of the Birthday Bot greetings--Todd or a mod had been doing that, probably since Classic started. I can leave them past a week, or longer, or permanently, if Todd wants it that way.

I don't think Classic was started for Dude bumps.
