Default Sex and the Single Parent

What a great episode! By far the best under the ABP name and it belongs with some of the best of AITF! It showed a whole new dimension to Archie, that he can evolve from his narrow viewpoint to one that makes sense when confronted with the reality of the situation. This episode should be required viewing to anyone with a closed mind towards teaching their children about sex.

Yeah, this episode was very good. Even my mom said it was a good episode. My mom isn't too fond of the ABP series, but she did enjoy this episode.

I agree. How old was that blonde girl anyway? 13? She didn't look old enough to know what sex was.

Yeah, I'd say about 13 or 14. Well, I suppose the message still stands. That episode was done in the early 80s and today you still have 13, 14 year olds getting pregnant.

Crap, I just realized something. Okay, today they showed 'Break a Leg, Stephanie'. We're close to starting over again, I think. I hope they show every episode during the next rotation. Anybody think they'll show the rest of them during the next rotation?

I saw on the TV Land ABP Schedule that they will skip #24 "A Small Mafia Favor" again. Fortunately I recorded it when it aired on UPN 57 (WPSG Philadelphia) in 1998. I was still hoping to get a SVHS SP recording of it from TV Land.

take a look for your self

Thanks for the link, Dan.

You know, I doubt we see that ep. We might get to see the others, but I doubt we ever see 24. Geez, if they are that worried about the content of the episode, they could show that one episode during a grave yard hour. jmo

Personally, I don't think it has to do with content, maybe they just did not get the rights to it. I'm not sure what the heck it is. I would love it if my fan fic was actually acted out by the original cast, but unfortunate deaths and aging reared their heads. Maybe some type of computerized programming can help.

Thomas, your fan fic would have been the next episode after A Small Mafia Favor and I also wish it could be acted out by the original cast (who knows, maybe someday with computers).

Yeah. I know it would have been the next one. Oh, well.

Let's assume since Cathy Scott was Head Cheerleader, she was a year older than Stephanie.

I never understood if Ronald Scott was so rigid he wouldn't let 14 year old Cathy take a Sex Ed class, why would he let her even have a boyfriend, let alone go to his house unsupervised to get pregnant?
