I think I may use some of my birthday money to buy his journals.

Cool re: Nirvana

Some of you may remember some time back I posted the STUPIDEST thread on this site (comparable to Rainman's rantings ) called "Another reason why I hate Nirvana", where I
complained about Kurt Cobain's so-called "elitism and snobbery" for dissing Eddie Van Halen when he wanted to jam with the Nirvana guys--even though Kurt at one time worshipped EVH...
I read a book last week that explained WHY he dissed Eddie, seems Edward was drunk off his ass and rambling about how Nirvana now ruled and he himself was just "all washed up..." GAWWWWWD, Edward--that is SO DAMNED PATHETIC!!!! If there was a reason to admit Nirvana ruled and Eddie was no longer relevant, there was the answer. EVH cofessed to being a drunken loser. HONESTY HURTS, DUN'NIT??

Now I'm just mad at Eddie Van Halen because all of those years of partying and smoking have taken their toll--he's had to have 1/3rd of his tongue removed and allegedly he STILL smokes... I think if there's ever a new Van Halen album or tour, I don't know who's gonna care...I don't blame anyone for being mad at me, I was being ignorant and insensitive.

Lithium! That video is pure genius.

I remember when HSB came out, a lot of people were up in arms because it depicted Christ in a sacreligious way (whatever--I always liked that video).

I was 15 in '94; I liked Nirvana *alot*. In fact, I think I have the MTV News special broadcast from when he passed away (it's somewhere around here!). I can remember that was a pretty big thing.

VH1 ranked it 4th on their countdown of the 100 most shocking moments in rock 'n' roll.
