Is there a song that when playing immediately remind of period when you were in high school. Maybe a song heard in school parties, on prom night or on the car radio when commuting to school.
Mine is this song that back then I heard frequently on the car radio when commuting to high school in the mornings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8f4...&start_radio=1

I was in theater all four years of high school. Freshman year, the guy who was in charge of the auditorium’s sound system was always blasting his Sixteen Stone (Bush) CD (which at that point had been released more than a year prior) through the speakers. Not sure why that’s such a sense memory for me, because I’m not even into Bush. I don’t hate them, but I can only count on two hands the amount of times I’ve listened to them on purpose in the past 30 years — and it’s always something from their first two albums. |

My high school years were 1999-2003 so here are some songs from that time period I listened to:
Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) - The Offspring (1998) Simon Says - Pharoahe Monch (1999) Sonne - Rammstein (2000) Know Your Role (The Rock Theme) (1999-2000) The Real Slim Shady - Eminem (2000) The Way I Am - Eminem (2000) Stan - Eminem (2000) The Ballad of Chasey Lain - Bloodhound Gang (2000) Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) - Limp Biskit (2000) Bodies - Drowning Pool (2001) * this song didn't get played much on radio stations after 9/11 Dreamer - Ozzy Osbourne (2001) Youth of the Nation - P.O.D. (2001) * this song is still very relevant today |

I was going to cheat and look up the release date for Sixteen Stone (Bush) album since you said it was released a year prior to your freshman year, but didn't and just guess the year you were in high school. So you can say my guess had 30% margin of error

Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band (1982). Played in an all-class assembly at my HS, with accompanying pom pon dance routine.
