In celebration of Sylvia’s 1982 Country Cross-over smash-hit “Nobody” just recently hitting 10 million views on YouTube; I created a few collages featuring her incredible music career.

Those of you that are fans of “A Cradle in Bethlehem”, as I am; I have a few ideas that I’m currently working on for when it gets a little closer to Christmas.

It's December 9th, Sylvia's Birthday! I'd like to send Happy Birthday wishes to Sylvia and a sincere thanks for helping to brighten up our lives with her beautiful voice and music for decades.

If you're celebrating a birthday, today; Happy Birthday to you as well.

Lately, I've been listening to, "A Cradle in Bethlehem", which was one of my mom's most favorite albums, also my grandma's favorite and of course mine too!

In celebration of Sylvia's Birthday, I'm including a link to a track that is a fan favorite.

40 years ago today, July 5, 1986, Sylvia debuted at #73 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Nothin’ Ventured, Nothin’ Gained”. It went on to peak at #33 and spent a total of 15 weeks on the chart.

Despite that disappointment of the song stalling in the 30s. In the fall of 1986, Sylvia was on the TNN program, "New Country" singing songs from the new album, "Knockin' Around." My eyes were so happy to see the cover-art displayed on screen during the show. Afterwards, I eagerly looked for that album at my favorite record store and often asked about it. But soon thereafter realizing RCA decided to put out a "Greatest Hits" and used that same cover-art for it, and the "Knockin' Around" album was shelved.

The silver lining of this whole thing is that in 2024, Sony Music finally released the "Knockin' Around" album, subtitled "The Lost Album" to streaming platforms and every one of Sylvia's RCA albums are all available too. That was amazing, especially for those of us who've been waiting years and years for something, anything like that to actually materialize!
