Something about Tom Dixon's mug always creeped me out, but so did all of them that were computer-aged during the first few seasons when I was still 9, 10 or 11. My sister got a big kick out of my reaction when they did that.
Richard Bocklage's pic stands out to me too, but that was more about the accompanying music than the actual photo. |

Gloria Schulze, the drunk driver who killed anti-drunk-driving advocate Angela Maher: https://www.azcentral.com/story/opin...r/74051190007/
Her mugshot scares me as much as anything on UM. Look at her eyes. She doesn't care that while drunk and high she killed a 21-year-old girl in a car crash. She died of cancer in 2019. Cancer is a horrible way to go, but this woman deserved it. Rot in hell, bitch!!!! Karma!!!! |

Tangentially an UM mug shot: alleged Adam Walsh murderer Ottis Toole. This one will send you under the bed at 10 p.m.

And I have to give the sketch artist who did this Rembrandt work props here.
The "Alice" sketch, which I assume was done by the same police artist, is IMO softer because it's a female subject. There's still an edge to it because we know that Parent was posing as "Alice." That's not in dispute, unlike the "Sam" composite. Now, the "Sam" composite is very, very defined. So much, in fact, that I recall it all these years later. My memory was refreshed when I glimpsed it (briefly) as an avatar on this board and on at least one podcast episode devoted to "The Chameleon Killer." There is a reason the composite is sharper and more detailed than the "Alice" sketch, IMO. "Sam" (possibly Elaine Parent?) wore the cheap Cleopatra wig to look like Beverly McGowan. The artist did not make the wig look cheap--if anything, as I said in another post, the hair looks shaggy, contributing to the eeriness of the sketch. What the artist did with skill was sketch the features in such a hyperdetailed fashion. My supposition is that this was done so someone who saw "Sam" without the wig could still recognize the facial features. This, as well as the ambiguity of the sketch and also the brutality of the crime, is why it is the creepiest UM composite ever. |

The suspect in the Michaela Garecht case. That one scared me most of my life.
As an adult, the sketch of the woman talking to the other woman in the Todd McAfee case. They made her look all wrinkled and old like a meth head, only extra scary! Suspect in the murder of Martin Hernandez. Overnight clerk at a store in LA, shot by a black man. The way they made his eyes look. Yikes! The post mortem picture and computer generated image of the steamer trunk corpse. Seen them once and that was enough. The forensic bust of the guy in the foot locker was also creepy as all hell. |

The mugshot of Jonathan John Brown, aka "Thumper". He looks unhinged.
