Default Is Amazon Prime Video having problems today?

Mom noticed tonight that Amazon Prime Video is not working and I am wondering if anybody on here has witnessed problems with Amazon Prime Video today? When you try to watch any show on Amazon Prime Video all you get is a black screen and the circle icon just goes round and round. But the strange thing is that there is no error message whatsoever. Mom discovered this on our living room TV and a minute ago Mom and I checked my TV and the same thing happened on my TV. Is there something wrong with Amazon Prime Video today and what can Mom do? Because Amazon Prime Video has always worked on both my TV and our living room TV and we never have seen this problem before

This morning I checked out Amazon Prime Video on my TV and it appears that the problems that occurred Wednesday have been fixed. But I would like to know what was the cause of the problem with Amazon Prime Video? Mom seems to think it was due to both the World Cup Soccer match and the NBA game that Amazon Prime Video was airing Wednesday. But as I said when Mom and I learned about this problem the strange thing was that there was no error message and all we got was the black screen and the revolving circle icon. But what i'm also curious about if Amazon is gonna offer some apology gift for Amazon Prime Video members that were affected by this problem?

In my eyes Amazon should've warned Prime Video subscribers about what happened Wednesday because what I think really happened was that Amazon Prime Video crashed due to the huge lot of subscribers that were watching the NBA basketball game and the World Cup soccer game. And not only was Amazon Prime Video affected HBO Max On Amazon Prime as well as VIX was affected as well. Has Amazon sent an apology yet for Wednesday's problem?

Red face Judy where are ye?

Last night (Friday 6/5) I tried to watch a "Justice Judy" as I do every Friday and it wouldn't let me. Finally gave a message saying I can't see it because I don't have "Chrome 11 or 12" that I have a Windows 7 computer so now all of a sudden I can't see Judy. It was fine last week and forever more before that. I hope this is just a temporary glitch with Amazon I liked watching the Judys and some of their movies and I have never had Amazon Prime to do so either.

When my mom was watching Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday all she got was a black screen and rotating circle icon but no error message like you described Hazel. But Mom and I even tried Amazon Prime Video on my TV and it too had the same black screen and rotating circle icon. But the weird thing is that Amazon Music worked with no problem so it seems like Amazon Prime Video was the only one affected. I think as I have been saying in many of my posts that the NBA basketball game and the World Cup Soccer game overloaded Amazon Prime Video that Wednesday. But I am still curious to see if Amazon is offering some apology for this problem that occurred
Hope you can get it fixed Hazel

This problem of older browsers pre-dates AI--I remember it from at least 2016, when Internet Explorer was dominant. The programmers would talk about having programs--what we call apps now--be able to deal with different versions of the browser. After a while it becomes so difficult they have to drop support for older ones, because it becomes too difficult to manage.

So now they have many more browsers to deal with. At some point they will probably drop support for any version of IE. And sooner or later, I suspect there will be no support for non-SSL -- http -- either.
