Try disabling scripts buddy,you knock off 1/2 the spam ads by disabling javascript

Disabling javascript was an easy de-select on the security menu. So far, the only negative is that the search engine display looks like it might have looked 10 years ago.

I do remember reading bad things about javascript. I haven't seen what it does to Youtube yet.

Update: I'm finding out some websites won't operate at all without it. Sloan.com wouldn't bring up anything.

Another update: the drop-downs on this site don't work without it, either.

Ya I always have scripts disabled........ The site runs faster for one


When I use the laptop I just add exceptions for sites that absolutely need scripts (Google,whirlpool.net.au are 2 I regurally use that need them (No spam ads on either of those (@ least I dont get any)))

When I first went to whirlpool.net.au the staff didnt like how I scanned the bases for good threads to reply to but after I explained to them the date doesnt matter when it was last replied to,they seem to have calmed down about it.. (I have scanned since ane they havent said anything)

I cant stand how people dont care about anyone anymore...

Latest example: A college FM radio station in my area started having STL problems last week.... Thier audio kept cutting in and out.. Yesterday and today is was so bad I wondered why no one has told them?? -- OR THEY DIDNT KNOW THEMSELVES!!

I looked up the engineering dept email and told them thier STL is acting up,the audio keeps cutting it and out on 88.5 and within a couple hours they shut it down!!!

I dunno when the station will be back on but I just caint believe no one else told them this last week it was bad! (Got worse everyday)

Its a very sad/mean world out there now.........

Ya cant disable the stupid warnings you get on almost every page about the site NOT BEING SECURE.. Its a bunch of bullshit!!!

On Google you cant disable the suggestions that come up when your trying to enter a search term. IT KEEPS CHANGING WHAT YOU ENTER!!

I am so glad I have Win98se on IE6 .. Yea I cant do alot directly,mostly because people have been tricked/scared into blocking HTTP for no reason....

ITS MUCH BETTER STUFF...... THESE NEWER BROWSERS ARE PIECES OF UTTER SPYING TRASH!!!

On YouTube, it now actually takes ten seconds to skip these false promise ads I periodically see on that site when it previously took five seconds to skip. Examples include:

• "This is why people in Israel don't have diabetes"
• "It takes 90 seconds for this NASA-engineered AC [to] cool down your room"
• "My local mayor wanted to sue me after he saw what I did with this new pressure washer", and
• "This is what happens to your body fat when you use the wrong version of this gelatin trick"

I try to refresh the YouTube pages every time in an effort to get straight to the video quicker, but instead, another false-promise ad with a ten-second wait to skip it comes up, and that way, I am forced to give in to this new reality.
