"Hey TJ I think we got trouble"
The opening line of this thread comes from a commercial for Top Job Cleaner that originally debuted in 1989 that introduced a character named TJ who was a detective scouting out dirty kitchen floors. The commercial opens at a detective agency where a woman sends TJ a message with the opening line of the commercial then TJ goes on to clean the dirty kitchen floor with his trusty bottle of Top Job Cleaner and the woman later thanks TJ and he gives her his business card and the commercial ends. I didn't know that this commercial existed until I discovered it this morning and since the character Detective TJ shares the same name as our wonderful good friend i'm sure that TJ will find this commercial a fun watch. Top Job Cleaner no longer is on the market today but it was rebranded Mr. Clean Top Job Cleaner in the 90's but it would be smart if Procter And Gamble could revive Top Job Cleaner someday |

When you get the general picture it's amazing how commercials for household cleaners from the 80's and 90's used to have such cool characters and mascots. I think when Procter And Gamble debuted this Top Job commercial back in 1989 they had plans of making Detective TJ as big as Mr. Clean and planned to do more commercials with him but it was never meant to be. I wonder why Procter And Gamble discontinued Top Job Cleaner in the 90's? Because it was a strong seller other than Mr. Clean and Procter And Gamble had a hit on their hands with Top Job Cleaner due to it's commercials
