I read it as you bought Hello Kitty footwear and a pool slide. I have never in my life heard those types of footwear referred to as slides.

Really? That is what they are called. And not just out here on the west coast I'm thinking , because if you go online to order shoes like this they are called slides, sometimes pool slides . What would you call them?

This does look like alot of fun! I secretly would love to get one for the hot summer. IDK if it would even fit in my tiny yard , and the neighbors would really think I lost my mind if they saw me playing on this. But if I had a big private yard!

I’d have to see them to be sure. Do they look like below? I’d probably just say shoes. Maybe sandals. I’ve definitely never heard slides.

Yes. They look like that. Most slides don't have that strap though, they just slide on your feet. Hence the name slides.

Mine are white, trimmed in pink. The top part is Hello Kitty's head with her face painted on , really cute. But basically the shape of the shoe is similar to the one in the picture.
