According to Rue McClanahan, The Golden Girls set was the hottest spot in town for guest stars "Actors love to do guest shots on our show because it’s so easygoing and cheerful." The Golden Girls' Herb Edelman believed in the power of television "Television should entertain, but it should open our eyes," said the actor.
