The skipped ep is the one showing barb at the new job after being hired. The christmas ep only showed Max

Yes. I wondered why Sam was making the reservation for the Christmas cruise with Max, giving him the commission. Not his Daughter in law Barbara?

And Barbara felt Grandma was overstepping her bounds, being Barbara a new wife wanted to do this kind of stuff. It was OK that one morning, but after that she felt Grandma was taking over her house .

That breakfast looked GOOD ! Everytime I see this episide that scene gets me hungry! But really too much food before going out to your job, eating that much food would get you sleepy!
