The Cosby Show vs. Friends
Two different types of sitcoms with one similarity: they were smash hit leadoff shows on NBC's Must See Thursday block in the 80s and 90s. I like Friends more than I used to, but would still go with The Cosby Show.

I thought Cosby declined very quickly, after his stand up material ran out. Friends soap opera aspects were pretty unbearable, but the show always had the potential to throw off a funny episode.
