I was reading Marcus Aurelius and these are paraphrases that reflect his Stoicism:

- Human ignorance is involuntary, we must be willing to teach. Evil is not from malice, but from ignorance.

- The law of nature always flows, scriptures do not.

- Everything in nature shares the same origin and must be respected.

- Technology should not harm nature.

- Humanity is neither above or below nature.

- The path to virtue is hard and self-reflection is important.

- Hard work and discomfort are essential for success.

- No form of authority holds absolute truth or reason, views and opinions can change.

- Nature constantly changes - is never the same.

- Pleasure and pain is neither good or bad and is unavoidable for both good and bad people. Morality does not equate to good or bad things happening to oneself - karma does not exist.

- Forgiveness is from the self and not from others.

- Wealth and power should be given up if it gets in the way of virtue.

- Fear of a bad reputation can prevent those from doing what is right.

- Nothing is inherently good or bad unless it gets in the way of virtue.

- Being virtuous may require the giving up of ones life.
