The case of Charlie Anderson made me (as a 7-8 year old) refuse to enter the house after dark until my parent(s) went in and turned the lights on first. Of course years later we know it was probably the wife in a murder for hire and not a random intruder but at the time you can bet I checked my closets before going to bed!
Somewhat OT but as a teenager I had serious back problems. Long story short if you have a significant back injury you CANNOT run no matter what! The pain is completely debilitating and you can't just "fight through" on adrenaline. |

The Ethel Kidd case is one that has stuck with me for years. That recreation of her body tied to a tree in the middle of the woods is so creepy. I can't imagine what the hunter who came across it felt when he first saw it.
![]() Also, the murder of Tim Good. It is unsettling how Ben Freeman was able to take control of his life and practically made him a slave in his own house. Then he killed him and continued to live there while Tim's body was decomposing in the basement. I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones that immediately came to mind. |

Tim Good definitely scared me, because it could happen to anyone.
"Debbie" still haunts me to this day. RS wisely warns everyone that the segment is disturbing. They never caught the guy but there is a possible suspect. Trail Went Cold delved into it... |

I've posted this in other threads. "Carol" and Kevin Hughes. Carol's case remains unsolved and Kevin Hughes murder was a conspiracy by corrupt insiders. 2 of the perpetrators have passed away, but there could have been more.
