Do you remember when Burt Reynolds was spokesman for Quaker State Motor Oil?

For a long time Quaker State Motor Oil has been one of the top rated motor oils in car care. From the time of it's debut Quaker State had used celebrities in it's commercials as spokesmen. One of Quaker State's biggest spokesmen was none other than Burt Reynolds. I don't really know how Burt Reynolds got the job as Quaker State's spokesman but when you stick TV and movie legends in motor oil commercials it seems odd. But anyway Burt Reynolds was spokesman for Quaker State Motor Oil from 1986 to 1993 and I found two commercials so far with Burt talking about how Quaker State works miracles on his car. I didn't know these commercials with Burt Reynolds existed but Quaker State must've given Burt a contract to do these commercials. I would love to hear the story of how Burt Reynolds got chosen as Quaker State Motor Oil's spokesman
