To me it seemed like

Friends featured the female characters more

Seinfeld featured the men characters more

I am sure there are pockets in this country where men prefer Friends, and even larger areas where they hate both. However, if you were to take a survey of the the fans of each show, I am fairly certain that the gender gap would be a lot more pronounced than the age gap.

I even think sitcoms like Frasier and the Big Bang Theory appeal more to women.
Perhaps Friends did appeal toward women more so than men. It is a fact that most shows on television have greater female audiences than male audiences. In my experience, however, it has been pretty much even.

Regarding The Big Bang Theory, however, I don't know. I think the audience is about half and half.

Friends featured Ross and Rachel more than other characters (or at least it seemed). But there were a lot of scenes with just Chandler and Joey. Given the cast was split evenly, I'm sure it equaled out.

As for Seinfeld, the comparison isn't able to be done. Of course the male characters outnumbered the female scenes, the main cast was a 3:1 ratio. If Elaine was to have most of the scenes, the show would be called Elaine, not Seinfeld.

I would say about 60/40 tilt toward the women.

Seinfeld is for men and woman

Friends is more geared toward woman

Well obviously it's going to be each person's opinion who posts on here, but I personally like Friends better. I've seen all the episodes and with Seinfeld, I just couldn't get into it. I didn't think it was as funny maybe because it was a show about nothing and the humor was more dry than on Friends, but yeah I don't like the way that I do Friends.

I would definitely say "Friends". I really liked the show. It was really like a long soap opera. Most shows have a plot that they can settle in twenty some minutes. Friends kinda continued their stories from week to week. I have all ten seasons on DVD plus the series finale DVD. I never watched Seinfeld. I've only seen the show one time and that was because they were changing my cable and I could only get a couple channels and I had to watch something before I went to sleep!

Friends is a good sitcom, but Seinfeld is the GOAT!

Seinfeld. Friends is basically Seinfeld as tweaked by the network - younger, pretty people, add a couple hot chicks, throw in one of those Sam and Diane storylines so they'll watch every week. Friends is competently done, but not very creative.

I don't hate Friends like I used to. But it is still no match for Seinfeld.
