Florence or Mary! Which one do you prefer! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hands down Florence for me. Marla Gibbs was way funnier on the Jeffersons. It's funny because Mary is my least favorite character on 227. If they wrote her character a little more spunkier & less serious, I may have begin to like her..

Florence hands down, her and George had that chemistry, she was funny! Mary whinned too much for me.

I like Meeeeary Jenkins. But I like Florence too however she really got on my nerves at times. I think it would be Mary by a nose hair.
