LITB has an episode with a carnival and so does CSI.
I honestly do remember ever seeing a carnival in our area. Just the fair at the fairgrounds. What about you? Did you have a fly by night operation that was intent on scamming people? |

We've had similar operations around here, but they were only rides. No shady people with rigged games at booths. But it's been years since I've seen one, other that the state and county fairs.
I'm wondering if these traveling operations are things of the past, like circuses. It's much easier to just scam people on the internet now. |

The Andy Griffith Show had a very memorable carnival episode, where Andy knows that the sights on the shooting gallery guns have been set so that people miss the targets.
Lassie also had at least one carnival ep, when Jeff Miller (Tom Rettig) owned her. With her ability to perform tricks, Lassie is in danger of being stolen away. |

The Waltons too had a shady carnival episode .
I remember school and church carnivals as a kid in the 60's- early 70's in Philadelphia. Rides and prize booths were brought in, but as far as I knew they were legit. No scams or shady people. But IDK ? I was a kid maybe there was ? |
