For one husband and wife they are about to find out in the new thriller The Housemaid which is to open in theaters December 19th. Judging from the trailer I think The Housemaid will be a hit and will score big success on it's opening day

I can't wait to see it. I read the book , it was really good. Along with a lot of other books by the author , Freida McFadden. She is great at suspense, drama, crime, thriller stories.

The movie The Housemaid is based on a book of the same name? I didn't know that. But I hope it does well at the box-office when it debuts

I'm not familiar with the book. It's sure to be a hit with the lovely Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney starring in it. Take my money, please.

I saw it. Supposedly a sequel is in the works based on the second book.

YES!! I saw it in the theater. It was really good, but the book was better. Freida McFadden is such a great author of this, my favorite genre ! I've read almost all her books . I stay up till the wee hours of the morning sometimes engrossed in her books or books like hers of similar authors .

It’s currently on Starz, which is where I saw it.

I think red flags would have went up when I saw where my sleeping quarters would be . A little attic where there was only one window that wouldn't open! And it wasn't like she was going to be a nanny for a poor family with a small house and that was the only space available for her . A rich family with a really big house , a little closed up attic room ! NOPE! But than she was really desparete for a job do to her circumstances.

Was there anything major in the book left out of the movie? The reason they got away with it was waaaaaay too coincidentally contrived for my tastes.

I read this a few years ago and have been meaning to reread it again after seeing the movie. But yeah, the movie was more far fetched than the book.
