Smile NASA crew mission to Moon have just lifted off!

Few minutes ago (6:35 p.m. ET) the Artemis II mission with four crew member took off in Florida. They will reach Moon in 6 days. The 10-day mission will send the crew around the Earth and then out to loop around the moon where they'll see the "dark side" of the moon. They'll be between 4,600 and 6,000 miles above the surface, and about 250,000 thousand miles from Earth, farther than any human has ever gone in space.

They probably have alot of high definition cameras aboard, so as you said it will be interesting to see all the images they send back as this mission progress. Did little bit of calculation and it seem they are traveling at speed of 1,700 miles per hour toward the Moon.

Thanks for posting that. The distance (and speed) boggles the mind.

I’d like to see someone grab the wheel and glide it down from space and land it in the Hudson, Sully-style.

Only if the pilot use the FORCE to guide him/her like Luke did in first Star Wars
