Anyone remember the sitcom Hail to the Chief? the show starred Patty Duke as Julia Mansfield, the first woman president and Ted Bessell as her general husband. The show only ran for seven episodes.

I remember bits and pieces, such as one of the household staff stockpiling junk food to take back to his country, Dick Shawn as a Russian trying to get blackmail film of Ted Bessel's character cheating on the president. And I remember seeing Alexa Hamilton in a very nice looking pirate costume.

I remember it fairly well. I thought Patty Duke was very believable as POTUS. And I remember a lot of politically incorrect humor that you would never see on network TV now. The writers truly believed in equal rights because this show offended EVERYONE equally, ha!
