"What will it be stranger"
"A Jello sir" This Jello commercial which I first saw on one of my commercial DVDs is a bit of a rare find that I don't know when it aired or what year it was first seen. But I believe it seems to be circa 1970/71. The commercial begins with a cowboy at a saloon saying the opening line and then it cuts to a football team celebrating it's victory with a tub of Jello while saying "Oh Boy Jello" then a voiceover says "if it was there you would eat it" then a still scene of Jello is shown then the commercial ends with a 70's slogan Put A Jello Out Tonight. I remember when viewing this commercial for the first time how clever a commercial it was and what's also surprising is that this commercial doesn't use the familiar J-E-L-L-O jingle in it |

I was also surprised to find a black and white version of this Jello commercial and I thought the only version was in color but this version of this Jello commercial seems to be a rare version. But the main question that has me puzzled about this commercial is why the J-E-L-L-O jingle was not used for this commercial?
