The stars of long-running TruTV series "Impractical Jokers" have struck a first-look deal with WarnerMedia and had their flagship show renewed for a tenth season.

The Tenderloins comedy troupe will develop and produce original unscripted and scripted programming for TNT, TBS, truTV and HBO Max. The renewal of the show comes ahead of the ninth season premiere of "Impractical Jokers" tonight.




“For over a decade, truTV has been our home and we couldn’t be happier to continue crashing on the company couch,” said The Tenderloins.

“We absolutely love making Impractical Jokers and a big part of that is the support that WarnerMedia gives to us and our crazy ideas. To continue making Jokers while being given the opportunity to develop and produce other content for our beloved fans is a dream come true. That’s not hyperbole. "Impractical Jokers" Star Joe Gatto Announces he’s Leaving Troupe after A Long Run

One of the stars of the TruTv franchise series "Impractical Jokers" is leaving the comedy troupe after a decade-long run.

Joe Gatto posted the stunning news on Instagram tonight in a note that alluded to “the challenges I am facing” and a promise to “create new ways to entertain you.”



“Sorry in advance for the long and more-serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers,” he wrote.

“Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”

"Impractical Jokers" Returns in June with Celebrity Guests

The boys are back, along with a few new friends! truTV announced the long-running franchise "Impractical Jokers" will return with new episodes Thursday, June 16 at 10:00PM ET/PT, featuring a different celebrity guest in each episode joining Brian "Q" Quinn, James "Murr" Murray & Sal Vulcano for more laughs and mischief in the series' ninth season.

Joining the spectacle and upping the antics will be a variety of heavy weight star-power including Staten Islanders Method Man (Wu-Tang Clan) and Colin Jost (Saturday Night Live), Chris Jericho (All Elite Wrestling), film star Brooke Shields (The Blue Lagoon), as well as hilarious comedians Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street), Adam Pally (Sonic, Happy Endings), Jon Gabrus (Game Over, Man!) and David Cross (Arrested Development), along with Rob Riggle (Holey Moley) and others.

No one mentions Joe Gatto (or whatever his last name is) is NOT appearing in the new episodes. Joe was one of the funniest of the bunch. I saw the latest Imp. Jokers Tru TV showed a couple days ago, it was sort of a 1st episode of the new season even though the new season doesn't really begin until June. Any hoot, Joe was not part of the show and no explanation given as to why he's gone. I miss Joe, though I will admit the show was still funny just Joe seemed to be sorely missed in it.

I mentioned it here that Joe Gatto left the series. He said it was for “personal reasons” as he went through a divorce and is working on co-parenting his kids.

"Impractical Jokers" to Relocate to TBS Amid Overhaul at truTV

TV’s "Impractical Jokers" will be pulling their pranks on a new network later this year. TVLine has confirmed that the hidden camera comedy series will fully relocate to TBS this summer amid a programming overhaul at longtime home truTV.

For its first nine seasons, "Impractical Jokers" aired exclusively on truTV, then began simulcasting on both truTV and TBS with its current 10th season. The simulcast approach will continue through early April before new episodes begin airing only on TBS this summer.

A Warner Bros. rep points out that library episodes of "Impractical Jokers" will continue airing on truTV prior to 6 pm ET.

Hidden prank show "Impractical Jokers" will officially move to TBS for its Season 11 premiere on Thursday, July 11, at 10/9c.

“TBS has long been the home of comedy, making Impractical Jokers the perfect fit for our Thursday night lineup,” said Turner Networks President Jason Sarlanis. “The Jokers have taken the challenge of a bigger network and expanded audience to deliver even more outrageous humor than ever before.”

The new episodes will feature guest appearances from Brooke Shields, Joey Fatone, Roy Wood Jr., Richard Kind, Joe DeRosa and pro wrestler John Silver, among others.

"Impractical Jokers" Scores Top-Rated Episode Ever in Adults 25-54, as Series Sees Big Growth on TBS

TBS’ “Impractical Jokers” is posting series high ratings during its first two outings in 2026. The series, which recently returned for the second half of its Season 12 on Thursday, Jan. 15, returned with a 1.62 live+3 rating among adults 25-54. That made it the highest-rated return episode for the show, which first launched in December 2011.

That 1.62 in the 25-54 demo was up 226% from the show’s Season 12 premiere (0.53), according to TBS. Among adults 18-49, it was the highest-rated episode since it moved from TruTV to TBS in July 2024.

The cabler also noted that the series also saw its audience median age drop by 13 years vs. the previous season.




Meanwhile, the show broke its own record the following week, when the second episode of Season 12b on Thursday, Jan. 22, posted a 1.86 live+3 rating with adults 25-54 — making it the No. 1 telecast on cable in that demo so far in 2026 (excluding sports and specials).

After two episodes back, it’s tracking to be the No. 1 original series on cable, according to TBS.

"Impractical Jokers" Renewed for Season 13 at TBS

TBS has renewed its hit unscripted comedy series, "Impractical Jokers", for a 13th season.

The renewal comes amid franchise-high ratings for the series, which is averaging a 1.72 L3 rating among Adults 25-54, up 292% over the previous season. It also ranks as the No. 1 original series on cable this year in key adult demos, according to TBS and Nielsen.



“Fifteen years into its run, Impractical Jokers is breaking records and delivering some of the best ratings in its history,” said Jason Sarlanis, President, TNT, TBS, truTV, ID & HLN, Linear and Streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery.

“Our fans absolutely love the humor and friendship of the Jokers, which keeps them coming back for more. We can’t wait to share even more laughs and unforgettable moments with them.”
