If You Were in Charge of a TV Reunions Magazine Issue... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

If you were in charge of a reunion issue magazine (much like Entertainment Weekly) and you got to have five reunions in it, which five TV shows would you like to participate and which actors of each respective show would you imagine taking part in it?

My choices…

Sliders
I’d have Jerry O’Connell, Cleavant Derricks, Sabrina Lloyd and yes even John Rhys-Davies - the original cast reunited. I imagine that even though Rhys-Davies dislikes the show, his love for the cast (he’s complimented them saying they’re wonderful people who deserved better material) might convince him to do this brief interview and photo shoot. Although I liked the replacement Sliders, too, for this magazine, only the original cast is required.

NewsRadio
I’d get all the surviving cast members (minus Jon Lovitz) appear; Dave Foley, Stephen Root, Andy Dick, Maura Tierney, Vicki Lewis, Khandi Alexander and Joe Rogan. They’d take pictures, talk about the show and I’m sure talk about the late great Phil Hartman.

Wings
Not everyone is necessary for this but I’d get all I could. I’d really want Thomas Haden Church but I can’t see him participating for some reason. So I’d get Tim Daly, Steven Weber, Crystal Bernard, Rebecca Schull, David Schramm, Tony Shalhoub and Amy Yasbeck. In fact, all mentioned minus Bernard and Schramm appeared in that Funny or Die video where they were jokingly starting a Kickstarter to get a “Wings” movie made.

Ellen
I’ve always loved this show but it doesn’t seem to popular in its afterlife. I’d love to see the cast reunite in any capacity. For this magazine I’d get Ellen DeGeneres, Joely Fisher, David Anthony Higgins, Clea Lewis and Jeremy Piven to appear and chat about old times on the show. Maybe even get an interview with Arye Gross, too.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe
What? It’s my magazine. If I want to reunite the cast of a short-lived show, I’m gonna do it, lol. I’d have Andy Richter, Jonathan Slavin, Paget Brewster, James Patrick Stuart and Irene Molloy posing for pictures and talking about the 19 episode sitcom.

Charlie's Angels (the original tv show): I would have Cheryl Ladd, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Shelley Hack.
