"Igor go get me what I crave"
The opening line in this commercial is from a Shasta Orange Soda commercial that first debuted in "I believe" 1971/72. When the commercial starts we see a scientist telling a Frankenstein like character to get him a drink because he is thirsty. Then the Frankenstein like character breaks into the supermarket and is looking for a soda when he spots a can of Shasta Orange Soda and pays for it at the checkout and then the Frankenstein character leaves without the cashier noticing him then the commercial ends. It is interesting to know that the guy playing the cashier is Tom Bosley who also says the slogan at the end of the commercial. The version of this commercial on my 10,000 Classic Commercials DVD has a washed out effect making it impossible to see but there might be cleaner better versions of this commercial but this might've been Tom Bosley's only Shasta soda commercial he did |

Growing up as a child up through her teenage years Mom used to drink a lot of Shasta Soda when she would attend parties and my grandparents bought cases of Shasta Soda for when relatives would come and my mom used to like Shasta Orange Soda a lot. I wonder why you don't see Shasta Soda commercials being shown on TV much anymore? Because I think Shasta Soda is such an iconic drink that more commercials for Shasta Soda should be seen today
