Bonnie and Opus

Tonight 2 parter has to be weirdest written sitcom eps of all time. First Julie comes home from a ski trip with fred and max saying she is in love with fred. So she tells the family she and fred is in love and they getting married next week. Then I keep wondering why the hell am I seeing Max if Fred is the one she is marrying. Then Julie starts arguing with Max and realize she is in love with him instead of Fred. Im like WTF?????

BTW: i notice Ann likes to say.......OH MY GOD!!! when she sees something shocking. Does that continue?

I’m gonna let Bonnie handle the Max/Fred talk. I’ll just do the Oh My God thing. It was a sitcom that started mid ‘70s. As you know, many of those seemingly needed to try and get a catchphrase. Yes, Oh My God was their attempt. It shall continue.

Yeah. A little bit or rather a LOT far fetched that would happen. Julie having not one, but two men who were both good looking completly falling in love with her on a ski weekend vacation. To the point that both wanted tobmarry her !,And the fact that they were best friends.

It pretty much showed Max as being a total jerk and Fred being totally stupid. But Max ends up a good guy and a good addition to the cast. And I ended up developing a major crush on him watching ODAAT back when Antenna showed this the first time.

Love me some Michael Lembeck/ Max . His Sister is Helaine Lembeck, Judy from Welcome back Kotter.

Asparagus is delicious ! And back in 1979 it wasn't really that popular. As a kid and a teenager I remember my Mother serving it only on special occasions, company coming for dinner or something. Because it was too expensive to have as a regular every night veggie like broccoli, peas or green beans.

But now I have it alot . It doesn't seem that outrageously expensive to me. I love it!

Opus , Did I miss it , or did Antenna cut out the girls coming to the door for the" kitchen shower " after Julie decided to call the wedding off? I didn't remember that scene tonight? Remember before we were trying to figure out who Marcy and Karen were in the group of girls at the door?

Oh sure, Max shows up and you stay awake. But some guy trys to coerce Barbara and you fall right to sleep

I thought Antenna always cut that scene. I didn’t watch last night.

One day at a time is on Antenna on Saturdays from 1 to 2 PT / 4 to 5 ET. They play back episodes. Very cool if one was missed during a weekday or an episode you especially liked and want to see it again. Today is Father David and Barbara's emergence . So they aren't playing them in order.
