Default Did you know the Eugene character on this show was supposed to be played by..........

Todd Bridges

He was discovered in Little House on the Prairie by Tandem. He wanted to play the older brother for a change and chose Diffrent Strokes

The Eugene character would have fit Gary Coleman more then Todd.

At the time he was signed he was still kind of small. Remember the 1st season of DS he looked 12 instead of 14

>>Signed to play with Robin Williams before there was a Mindy,
Todd changed his mind and chose "Strokes"<<<

Going with a starring role over going with a supporting character who was phased out of the show after being in only 10 episodes? Wise decision.

I enjoyed him on the Jeffersons and Sanford. Surprised he was phased out

Todd really did make a good choice . I remember him from the Waltons. He was so young .

He probably was accepting any role he could get after Fish was cancelled and then came DS after he was about to start M&M
