The Overlook Hotel from the 1997 "The Shining" television mini-series

The mini-series was filmed at The Stanley Hotel in Colorado, which served as Stephen King's inspiration for The Overlook.

The 1980 Jack Nicholson film used the Timberline Lodge in Oregon as the exterior and most of the film was shot at a studio in England.

The Sunshine Motel from the 2006 Syfy mini-series "The Lost Room"

The fictional abandoned motel was constructed in the Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico.

The Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast from "The Following"

The Cleo Hotel from "The Lincoln Lawyer"

The exterior was the Covina Bowl in Covina, CA. The bowling alley was open from 1956-2017.

Today, the site has been repurposed as part of a new residential community featuring new townhomes, with some original elements incorporated into the development. The classic sign and main entrance were saved from demolition.

The Eagle Hotel from the "I Love Lucy" Season 1 ep. 'The Marriage License'

The hotel manager's wife was played by Elizabeth Patterson who would go on to play 'Mrs. Trumbull' throughout the series.

La Mirage from "Dynasty"

The original used the MountainGate Country Club in LA for the exterior.

It was modernized for The CW reboot, set in Atlanta, with a more sleek look.

Elm Inn at Cabot from "Rooster"

Exterior building is on the backlot at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank. It's been used in other productions such as Gremlins and Growing Pains.
