I became a fan of Enya's 1988 hit Orinoco Flow "Sail Away" after hearing it in the Crystal Light commercials and I would like to know the story why Crystal Light decided to use this song in their 90's commercials? Did Crystal Light think that using a popular artist like Enya would make them sell more packets of their drink mix or did they ask Enya herself if they could use Orinoco Flow in the Crystal Light commercials as a way to gain a new image to the buyers? These Crystal Light commercials "I think" turned Enya into a big superstar and that's why her Watermark album became an even bigger seller in the 90's after her marvelous Shepherd Moons album was released in 1991. But the way I see it after seeing how successful Orinoco Flow was in the Crystal Light commercials i'm surprised that Crystal Light didn't use other Enya songs in it's commercials too and they should've used more Enya songs. But based on those commercials I got an Enya CD with Orinoco Flow and it's such a relaxing song that will take your breath away

The way I view it Crystal Light was changing their image in their commercials from the fitness image their commercials originally began with and so they started developing new commercials and by using Enya's Orinoco Flow "Sail Away" in their new commercials they knew that using new age music in their commercials would help buyers of Crystal Light to buy more of their product. But when you have a popular new age artist like Enya promote Crystal Light it usually makes celebrities out of them and gets them more fame
