Here we see Beaver, who is at the "awkward age," revert to his childhood. Beaver initially OKs giving his old electric trains to little Jimmy Badsen, but after he and Gilbert play with them, Beaver decides he wants to keep them.
He enlists Wally's help in case any Badsen shows up wanting the trains, but pretty Georgia Badsen knocks on the door. Wally can't resist her, and surrenders the trains. Later Beaver and Gilbert arrive in the boys' room, and Beaver plays Perry Mason and cross examines Wally. Beaver throws a fit, and Gilbert assists. Wally tells Gilbert to shut up; Gilbert, showing uncharacteristic nerve yells: "You can't tell me to shut up; I'm not in your family." More hollering ensues, Beaver locks himself in the bathroom, and June intervenes. Gilbert offers more opinions, and June politely throws him out. Ward eventually coaxes Beaver out of the bathroom, who expresses confusion with kinda not being a kid anymore. A kind of prequel to the upcoming Nobody Loves Me episode. Kind of an entertaining episode with some pretty good comedy. Thoughts? |

I remember being at that stage. I didn't really want to leave childhood behind. I was not ready to be an adult. Which is good since I was barely 13.
I think beaver should have had as much time as he needed to dicide what to do. |

I can’t really blame Wally for giving away the Beaver’s trains. After taking one look at the extremely beautiful Georgia Badsen, Wally was struck by the “thunderbolt” and was not responsible for his actions.
