We got some updates about George Burnett moving to Hollywood, and a brief acknowledgement of Blair formally owning Eastland. But has anyone ever wondered what happened to Bevelrly Ann, Andy, and Pippa after the finale, since they were never mentioned/alluded to?

Hopefully they were doing good. Mackenzie Astin didn’t even know about until he saw a promo. Nobody called him.

In the 2001 reunion movie, Beverly Ann, Andy, and Pippa were completely absent—neither appearing on screen nor being mentioned in the dialogue. This creative decision effectively "erased" the later-season characters to focus exclusively on the nostalgia of the original "Core Four" and Mrs. Garrett.
The Real-World "Facts" Behind the Absences Andy Moffett (Mackenzie Astin): As you noted, Mackenzie Astin was never contacted for the film. In a March 2001 interview with TV Guide, he stated he had heard rumors but received no call, famously adding, "I hope they do call". Beverly Ann Stickle (Cloris Leachman): Like Astin, Cloris Leachman was reportedly never invited to participate. By 2001, Leachman was a major star on Malcolm in the Middle, and the producers likely wanted to avoid the confusion of having two "mother figures" in one movie. Pippa McKenna (Sherrie Krenn): Pippa was largely considered a "symbol" of the show's decline in the final season. Since she was never well-integrated into the main group's legacy, she was bypassed entirely for the reunion. Status of the Core Cast Jo Polniaczek (Nancy McKeon): While she did not physically appear for most of the film, she was the only one acknowledged. The plot explained her absence by stating she was too busy with her career as a social worker. In reality, McKeon had a scheduling conflict with her starring role on the Lifetime series The Division. George Burnett (George Clooney): Though long gone by 2001, he received a brief meta-nod; the movie implied he went to Hollywood to become a star, mirroring Clooney’s real-life career. The film's focus on Eastland Academy allowed the writers to ignore the "Edna's Edibles" and "Over Our Heads" eras almost entirely, which conveniently removed the need to explain where the later-season additions had gone. |

Andy, Pippa and Beverly Ann killed on 9/11 on the planes would make an interesting backstory if a sequel had been made
