My only gripe was when they cancelled In Living Color for that POS Wild Oats, which starred one of the worst actresses ever, the show-killing loli Paula Marshall.

In 1990, ABC was in the middle of their cookie-cutter period. They only had a few shows worth watching, and they were Roseanne, The Wonder Years, Doogie Howser, M.D. (a guilty pleasure of mine because I love NPH), China Beach, Monday Night Football, and Twin Peaks, and we all know what ABC did to the latter later on. Who's the Boss?, Growing Pains, and MacGyver had already jumped the shark, and Perfect Strangers was mediocre at best. Full House, Head of the Class, Coach, Life Goes On, Thirtysomething, and The Young Riders were all trash, and Family Matters was just as bad minus the Urkel scenes. And Going Places? Yeah, more like Going Nowhere.

FOX '94 WINS!!!!!!
ABC had some really good shows, such as Monday Night Football, China Beach, Full House, Head of the Class, Coach, Life Goes On, Thirtysomething, Wide World of Sports, The Wonder Years, the bowling telecasts that preceded Wide World, Twin Peaks, and Homefront.

ABC was the only channel i could get clearly living in the mountains of North Carolina, so for me it was Roseanne, The Wonder Years, Doogie Howser, M.D., China Beach, Monday Night Football, and Twin Peaks, and we all know what ABC did to the latter later on. Also, our ABC had in syndication Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy (even tough i didn't like the fact that Alex Trebek was more akin to a very strict teacher: he would snap at the contestants if they forgot a rule (most commonly, phrasing with "What is ...?") or giving an answer that was inappropriate to the category (such as in a category about numbers, anything other than a numerical answer), and treated the show very seriously, but who cares) and American Gladiators (especially the Mike Adamle/ Larry Csonka years).
