A former Nickelodeon star was identified as the victim of a deadly hit-and-run crash in New York City on Friday morning.

Kianna Underwood, 33, was killed by an unidentified driver just before 7am EST, sources told the New York Post.

The New York Police Department confirmed to The Daily Mail that a 33-year-old woman was killed while crossing Pitkin Avenue in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The unidentified driver was in a grey vehicle. No arrests have been made, and police are still on the hunt for the suspect.

The driver fled the scene and left the victim's body on the street. Underwood was dragged two blocks and suffered severe trauma.

Underwood previously appeared on popular early 2000s television shows, including All That and Little Bill.

The former child star appeared in the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series, All That, for seven episodes in 2004 and 2005, according to her IMDB page.





The show produced several stars, including longtime Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes.

Underwood replaced Jamie Lynn Spears on the sketch comedy series for its tenth and last season.

She also appeared in the film The 24 Hour Woman, starring Patti LuPone, and voiced a character in the animated movie Santa Baby!.

Angelique Bates called attention to Kianna Underwood's dire living situation prior to the former child star's tragic death.

The All That star had urged others to help her former costar in the years leading up to Underwood's death at age 33 in an apparent hit-and-run in New York City on Friday morning.

Over two years ago, Bates, 45, sounded alarms about Underwood who had been homeless, living in New York City, and took to social media to call out their former crew members for not reaching out to her.

In November 2023, she shared an Instagram video and called out Nickelodeon for turning a blind eye.

'She's one of us and she needs help but she's not getting it,' she said in her video before later adding: 'Nobody's speaking on Kianna Underwood.'

She said that the cast members acted like a close-knit family while on TV but appeared to not uphold the same behavior when they were off the set.

Bates starred on two seasons of the sketch comedy series, while Underwood — who died in a hit-and-run crash — appeared on seven episodes of the sketch comedy series. She joined the cast for the 10th season in 2005, when she was just seven years old; Underwood is pictured on All That

After learning of Underwood's death, Bates shared a clip with the news article headline she read and a throwback clip of the late star on the show.

She wrote in her caption: 'Y’all have no idea how much this one hurts…Sick to my stomach….So many people failed baby girl.'

Bates starred on two seasons of the sketch comedy series, while Underwood appeared on seven episodes of All That.

She joined the cast for the 10th season in 2005 and was just seven years old at the time.

Underwood also starred in 23 episodes of Little Bill.

The Deputy Commissioner of Public Information released a report explaining that the police responded to a 911 call at nearly 7 a.m. on Friday, per People.

The New York Police Department also told the outlet that Underwood was struck by a black Ford SUV while trying to cross an intersection.'

She 'sustained severe trauma to the head and body,' and she 'was pronounced dead at the scene,' the outlet reported.

The New York Police Department also confirmed they are still looking for the driver who left the scene after hitting Underwood with their car.
