Disney+ Boards Will Forte’s "The Last Man on Earth" Remake (EXCLUSIVE)

Disney+ has boarded “The Last Man on Earth”, a French remake of Will Forte‘s hit 2015 sci-fi comedy series which will be headlined by French star Artus.

An original series created by Forte, “The Last Man on Earth” is produced by 20th Century Studios and will premiere this year on Disney+. The show was unveiled at the Disney+ showcase in Paris on Thursday evening.



In the remake, a catastrophe has led to the extinction of the human race.

“After traveling across the country, Adam must face the facts: he is the last man on Earth. Free from everything, he enjoys the advantages of solitude… but remains desperately alone. However, he still holds out hope that another survivor exists. And perhaps even a female survivor,” reads the synopsis.
