Amazon Prime Video is reportedly developing a reality competition show based on Fallout Shelter, inspired by the free-to-play management simulator where players run a vault and help its inhabitants survive. The show will challenge contestants to manage resources and keep vault dwellers alive, potentially taking place across multiple vaults or in one large vault. Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are overseeing the series, and Bethesda Game Studios is producing. Filming could start as early as next year, and the show aims to build on the partnership between Prime Video and Bethesda, blending elements of the TV series with the game universe.

"Fallout" Reality Series Greenlit at Amazon

Amazon has handed a greenlight to "Fallout Shelter", a series based on its Ella Purnell-fronted drama. The project comes from Studio Lambert, the company behind Netflix’s "Squid Game: The Challenge", a reality series based on the streamer’s hit Korean series.

The ten-part series is based on the eponymous video game extension, which came out in 2015. Set inside Vault-Tec’s bomb-proof vaults, "Fallout Shelter" sees a group of contestants take part in “escalating challenges, strategic dilemmas, and moral crossroads” as they chase a cash prize.
